Old Town Bridge Tower

After crossing the busy busy busy bridge to the other side, before stepping into the Old Town, we stopped to photograph the Gothic Old Town bridge which marks the entrance to the Old Town. This tower, blackened with age, was finished in 1380 as part of Prague's original fort system, to protect the Old Town against northern invaders.

We climbed up this tower to the top and enjoyed some breathtaking 360 degree views of the bridge, Old Town, Mala Strana, the Vltava River and everything in between!

This is another image of the amazing view from the Tower.
This is a cute combined photo, behind yet another statue, but this time at the top and inside the tower - having a bit a fun.
