Wenceslas Square

Wenselas Square is the very heart of modern Prague & the main commercial district. This is the the place where the Czechs (and also tourists) simply love to gather and watch people. You will find it dressed up with hotels (such as the famous Europa Hotel), restaurants and specialty shops.

Wenceslas Square, otherwise known as Vaclavske Namesti, was previously a Horse Market. Also, it was here that the first mass protest of the "Velvet Revolution" took place in November, 1989, leading to the eventual end of the Communist Regime.
